Dark Moon

A face emerges from layers of dark paint — textured, raw, and impossible to walk past. Deep blacks and charcoal tones form the base; silver streaks and dripping white cut through the surface like light through shadow. The eyes are wide and direct. The mouth, closed. The presence, immediate.

The paint is built up and stripped back. Drips were left where they landed. Nothing is overworked. That restraint is what gives the painting its weight.

Dark Moon sits between figuration and abstraction — recognizably a face, but not quite human. It holds a room without competing with it.
